Christmas Day Magic!
Christmas was fantastic this year! It happened to fall on a Sunday, and since we had church at 9am, we decided to wait until after our Sacrament meeting to open presents. But what a blessing to be able to start Christmas morning with the sacrament and a beautiful Christmas program. We sang several Christmas hymns as a ward and had 2 speakers. And Garrett happened to be one of them. He spoke about the miracles of the Christmas story and the fact that, because of Christ, we can still pray for and expect miracles. It was amazing!
Once we got home, the kids were ready to jump right into the presents! Santa brought them each their own chair for watching TV, playing video games, or just chillin. And they loved them! And of course, we all got spoiled with so many fun gifts. But the highlight for us as parents was that we finally decided to get the kids a trampoline. We had to order it several weeks ago to have it here on time, and unfortunately, Crew happened to be playing basketball in the driveway when it was delivered. But he did such a good job of keeping it a secret from everyone. So after all the other gifts had been given, Garrett "found" a piece of paper in the Christmas tree that was the first clue for a scavenger hunt that ended up at the trampoline. It was fun to follow them from clue to clue until they finally ended up in the garage searching for the trampoline boxes behind Garrett's truck. Now we just need the snow to melt and the ground to thaw so that we can get the hole dug and put it together! All in all, I would say it was a wonderful Christmas! We are certainly a very blessed family!
