Random Fun

Cruising Cousins Just because she is so cute . . . Lily is obsessed with her shoes. Before I can get her out of her crib in the morning she is pointing and saying, "shoes, shoes!!" Remember my disasterous cake making episode in one of my first blogs?? Thankfully Grandma Crossley spent the afternoon with Laura and me teaching us the secrets in making this famous dessert, "Cake of Genoa." This time it turned out much, much better! Thanks Grandma! Somehow Lily managed to rearrange her shirt during nap time. I walked in her room to find her sporting a new style. So funny! Kennley and Sienna having fun at the pool! Gavin was a little fish! He loved the water. Lily on the other hand, had to warm up to it. That means momma is going to have to take her swimming more often. Lily and her animal noises. So cute! Lily is learning so much! We just love her cute words!

Happy Birthday Christina!!!

First of all, Christina will kill me once she sees this. If you know Christina well, you will know that she hates anything that puts her in the spotlight.... Oh well, I am willing to deal with the consequences, because that is exactly what this post is about! April 8th is Christina's birthday and it is time to celebrate her! As many of you know, we got married a little "later" in life than the typical "BYU, Happy Valley, Mormon" couple... But oh man, was it worth the wait! I don't think I could have ever even imagined how lucky I would be and how great my wife is! Now, a...

Night Owl

So at 1:45 am I awoke to the sounds of Lily talking and playing in her crib. She talked to herself for about 30 minutes until she decided crying was the only way she was going to get out of her crib to play. The minute I walked into her room she started pointing and saying "Kitchen . . . kitchen." Of course, I was a such a big push-over and let her play since she seemed to be wide awake. I let her play with her kitchen for about 1o minutes and then read her a book in hopes that she would get sleepy eyes. It all seemed to work . . . but only for a minute. All of a sudden she started crying and screaming like she was in pain. And yes . . . she was in pain. The poor little thing had the worst diaper rash. I felt so bad! I purchased some strawberries the other day and she has been in seventh heaven eating them. (Obviously no more strawberries for a little while). Once I changed her diaper and put ointment on her, Garrett read her another story and then she zonked out. ...
