The Hard Knocks of Life . . . Already.

Image
My heart was broken a bit today . . . the hard knocks of life are already happening.  Sad!  I took the kids to the park today.  Lily always gets so excited to play with "her friends."  She is just a total social butterfly.  I stood with Crew under a shade tree just a few feet away from where the playground was.  I watched as Lily ask 3 little girls if they would like to be her friend.  All of the girls just looked at her and said "No."  Cute Lily's comeback was: "Well that is the fun of playing with each other.  Do you want to play with me?"  Again, the girls said "no."  I was so disheartened for her.  It took everything I had not to go and save her.  She went down the slide a few times and then came to me and sadly told me that no one wanted to be her friend and play.  I asked her why, to which she replied: "I don't think they like me."  I quickly told her how proud I was of her for trying to make f...

Cute Lily Bell

My favorite picture.  She is so loving and protective of Boston. Lily was so excited to have a sleepover in Dad's and Mom's room.  Pizza, movie, and a bouncy bed = excited kids!   Smothered with love . . . literally! Miss Smarty Pants.  She begged me to come upstairs and look at what she had made all by herself.  I was completely surprised!  So creative!

Potty training here we come!!!!  I had not planned on potty training him yet - but once he saw his "big boy" underwear, there was no going back to diapers.  It took a good 2 weeks for him to really "get it."  He did a great job!  We are still working on it.  He just looks so stinkin' cute running around in his underwear.  Cute legs! He was so proud to earn his dart board.  This was his potty training award.    Funny story that will embarrass him when he is older . . . he had a major meltdown one night because he wanted to wear Lily's shirt and pants to bed. Oh, brother!   No we are not into mohawks . . . but the hair dresser was.  After Garrett brought him home I made him clip the top so it was a simple faux hawk instead. Always curious about something! This little one is OBSESSED with tools!  He talks about them day in and day out.  He absolutely loves Ho...
