YAY for the Alpine Parade! Even more YAY for Lily's Pottery Display

Image
It's been so fun to be able to attend the Alpine Day's parade since we have moved back.  My favorite part ever is that they get to be with family!  Warms my heart!! The star of the show is for sure Ari though - they all love Austin and Sarah's dog! We definitely cheered the loudest when McCoy's float drove by!  YAY!! The Major highlight of the whole day - seeing Lily's first piece of artwork on display and for sale.  I am so proud of her!  And I am so grateful for her amazing pottery teacher.  He was so thoughtful to display her artwork among is own own artwork.   Lily didn't know that he was going to do this for her.  It wasn't her favorite "Fairy Garden" work - but I think it inspired her to think big and really create what she wants to.

School Time!

Image
I feel like school starts earlier and earlier every year.  August 17th this year.  We all love summer - but we all love (more than others) a fresh start and a new school year.   This picture makes me laugh!  Back to school night for the junior high kids.  I would have thought that this little set up in front of the school was a little child-ish . . . but these teenagers loved it.   Back to school night for the elementary school kiddos Presley - Mrs. Harris - 2nd Grade Boston - Mrs. Billings - 6th Grade Crew - Mrs. Knutti - 4th Grade Pizza dinner the night before school Sure love these beautiful beautiful kids!  I just know they are going to have a great year! Neighborhood gang walking to school together. Walking the red carpet to the door of the school.  Welcome back students!

All Things Presley

Presley has been begging to take a gymnastic or tumbling class.  It's been fun watching her try new things that she loves. Last swimming lesson.  More as a reassurance to her momma that I can feel comfortable with her on her own in the deep end.  She swims so great! Presley received her official Ballet recognition from the Royal Academy of dance.  A beautiful certificate and pin.  Her cute teacher, Carrie Wright, had a sweet presentation to honor the girls. Hanging out at the carnival with Kasey.  Getting their hair sprayed with color. Love everything about these pictures.  Make up and intense reading! Her bike broke down at a bike parade birthday party.  Thankfully her friend had an extra bike.
