Fun Filled Easter Weekend!

Image
Our little family had such a fun filled Easter weekend.  My friend Emily and I, started off the festivities with a fun 5k run that our local high school put on as a fundraiser for Make a Wish Foundation.  It was so much fun!  I absolutely love races like this.   While we ran our race - - our kiddos had fun playing at the park.  Though the weather was a bit cool, we opted to support a member of our ward on his opening day by enjoying awesome shaved ice.  It was kind of cool to be the very first customers of the season!  Since most of us don't have family close by, I decided to put together an Easter Egg hunt.  It really was so much fun!  The weather cooperated and it ended up being a beautiful summer day.  We spent the whole afternoon finding eggs, eating a picnic lunch, and playing at the park.  It was perfect!  Such a cute group of kids!   ...

Last of the Birthday Celebrations

As always, my sweet little family spoiled me on my birthday.  Garrett took Boston out shopping and this is what happened: "Dad, we have to get this for mom's birthday. I KNOW she will love it!"  Too cute!!  Even cuter - He could not wait until my actual birthday to give me the Elmo and Happy birthday balloons that he picked out for me.  So I got it the night before my bday.  Such a sweet boy! And this little cutie worked hard to make me a beautiful birthday crown. Beautiful!    And this little one was happy to find my birthday treats and happily enjoy them!    We enjoyed a birthday dinner at a Mexican restaurant.  Crew loves to scribble. Birthday cake fun! Such a great day!  Love this little family of mine.

A Car Wreck and a New Car

Garrett was on his way home from work when this happened . . . he was turning left and didn't even see the car coming.  We are so very thankful that he and the other individual in the other car were safe.    Our poor little Forte didn't make it - - but we we ended up getting a family van.  I can't believe I never wanted a mini van . . . what was I thinking?  Having a van is awesome.  Especially the automatic doors.
