The Netherlands: Part 2

We stayed in Amersterdam for 2 nights.

Breakfast at the Pannenkoeken Paviljoen.  Huge pancakes!

Fun stuff for the kids to do outside of the restaurants.

Next up: The Muiderslot Castle.  One of the oldest and best preserved castles in The Netherlands.  Constructed over 700 years ago.

Most fun grandma who will happily dress up with the kids!

It was so cute to watch Crew take just the right picture with his camera.

Apparently, they slept in the smallest beds because they slept sitting up!?  What in the world?

Boston conducting the music in the castle chapel.
The castle gardens look amazing!  I wish we could see its full beauty when everything blooms.

Next up: Zaanse Schans. Boston's post:  This place was absolutely incredible. There was so many cool things that you could do here. The highlight of this place was going into the wooden shoe shop. We got to watch them make a wooden shoe with some cool machines that made it take 5 minutes. In reality it takes way longer to make then 5 minutes because the guy who was making the shoes said that after they carve the wooden shoe out of a block of wood they let it sit and get completely dried out for 6-8 weeks. Then they paint them and sell them.

Boston's post: We got to go through a building that was selling insane amounts of cheese. There was also a mini tour before you got into the store that showed how they made it. There was also a bunch of samples of cheese that Garrett and Boston loved.
Next up: Zaan Time Museum : We learned how they made cookies in a cookie factory.
