We Made it Through Swimming Lessons . . . Barely!

Swimming lessons! It started off a bit rough, but we made it through!  My first real adventure with 3 kids under the age of 4.  I have to say that by the end, I was proud of myself.  We have already made our mark at the Rec Center.  On the first day of swimming lessons, Boston had to be saved by a life guard.  I don't know what they expected . . . 3 two-year-olds to 1 teacher.  The teacher left 2 of the kids in chest deep water while she took the other kid swimming.  Boston let go of the wall and went under.  I was just about to reach for him and pull him out but the life guard intervened and jumped in.  Lily was running around the pool deck, Crew was crying beside me and while I was trying to distract Boston at the wall so he wouldn't go under again, another life guard was making me fill out an incident report.  Phew! What did I get myself into? Thankfully the next day was a little easier.  They had 2 teachers for the cla...

The Joys of Motherhood

It has been a busy, yet fun filled day!  My sweet little family of course stepped up and made it special for me (in more ways than one)!  It started with Garrett taking the kids to the basement to play so that I could sleep in. (Heavenly!!)  And then the kiddos surprised me with a musical card, chocolates (that they had to have a piece of), a cute basket full of rocks that Lily collected and yummy cinnamon rolls for breakfast.  Doesn't get better than that! The fun didn't stop there.  We then rushed to get our little busy bodied family to church.  Since we are in the middle of potty training Boston, Garrett took both Lily and him to the restroom before Sacrament Meeting started.  A few minutes later, Lily comes running to our pew and says, "Mom, I forgot to put underwear on this morning, see?"  And then she pulls her skirt down exposing her cute little bottom to everyone around us.  Yes, I turned bright red as others chuckled around us!...

Crew's Baby Blessing

It was a very special weekend for our little family.  Our sweet little Crew had his baby blessing.  What a gentle baby he is!  I was panicking a bit when Sacrament Meeting started and he was wide awake.  We could not coax him to sleep at all.  Much to my surprise, he did not cry once during his blessing even though he was awake.  Garrett gave him a wonderful blessing.  What a choice baby he is!  We love him so very much! As much as I take pictures, I can't believe that I didn't capture him in his blessing outfit by himself.  This is such a sweet picture, though, that Grandpa Crossley took of him later. We were so blessed to have all of the grandparents present for Crew's blessing.  We had such a great time spending time with them.  Lily and Boston especially enjoyed playing with them.  Ugh . . . I am so sad that the Grandpa pictures turned out so blurry.  They are still very sw...
