Memorial Day Memories
My tradition of running the Bolder Boulder was cancelled because of COVID - but that didn't stop us from creating our family fun day. Though we are still under "Safer at home" rules, we tried to be creative and plan some fun things.
First up . . . Donuts at Lemar's. We ate them in Garrett's truck. It was a slightly chilly morning - but it ended up warming up a bit.
Next adventure was Philip S. Miller park in Castle Rock. We made sure we got to this park early so that we could avoid any possible crowds. The kids had so much fun playing at the various connected parks.
I didn't get a picture of the stairs . . . but we all did the mini incline. 200 stairs. With a little extra needed cheerleading for the girls and we all made it up.
We had a creative outlet and participated in a fun little service project. We made over 25 notes/pictures for a senior living care center.
We ended this very fun day all snuggled up watching a family movie together. I sure love this sweet family of mine!!
