School's Out!!

Diana came up with a fun idea near the end of school and for the rest of the summer.  We decided that we would try and hit all of the local donuts shops.  2 down and 11 more to go!  So yummy!

Grandma Crossley sent the kiddos some fun bird houses to paint.  She wants to hang them up in her tree that the grandkids love to climb.

Boston's final school project: Homemade lava lamps.  It was sad that he couldn't participate in his 3rd grade class store because of remote learning . . . but he had fun creating his product even though he didn't get a chance to actually sell them.
He is giving his class presentation over the computer.

Presley just loves to come down randomly and sit on Garrett's lap while he is working.

We SURVIVED!!!  We were so excited for the last day of school on May 22. We got into our groove for remote learning - but we were so thrilled to be done with it also.

Fun playing in the pool at Gwen's house.
The last day of school was not complete until the kids burned some of their old worksheets from school.  They were soon excited to do this!  (Especially Boston!)  We made a little fire in our fire pit and ate Smores while they burned their papers.

 Fun days in the sun.

I have been really protective with my kids during this COVID business.  The only places I have let them go into is the 2 donut shops and only because there is usually not many people in them.  Lily thought she was in 7th heaven when she got to quickly run into a real store for a few minutes to pick up a bday gift for her friend.
We had made plans earlier in the week to get take out and eat dinner with our friends in a parking lot.  It just so happened that the governor opened up restaurants that very morning.  It felt so strange to be able to eat dinner together at an actual restaurant.  We still had strict rules - but it felt heavenly to feel somewhat normal again.
 Robinsons and Ferrins

Living the good life!  Summer days sleeping in and laying around.

After tennis shenanigans.  Zack, Miles, Crew and Boston trying to move this giant tire.
Boston so proud of himself for fixing Crew's chain all by himself!
