Fun Vacation with Grandpa and Grandma Updike

Last week, we were so lucky to spend the week in Oklahoma visiting Garrett's family. Everyone in the family was able to come, so we had a lot of fun. It was especially great for Lily get to spend time with her cousins and grandparents. But before we get to that, take a look at this...

Obviously, this is a stuffed Gorilla . . . but to Lily it is "Geppeddo, the Kitty Cat." My parents have a black cat named "Geppeddo," and for whatever reason Lily thought this gorilla was that same black cat. It was rather amusing! She absolutely loved it! She carried it around and even slept with it every night. While at Grandpa and Grandma Updike's, Lily slept in the same room as Garrett and me. One morning we woke up to Lily saying, "Geppeddo - so funny!!!" It really was so cute!

And when Grandpa turns on the computer videos, the kiddos can't get enough "Grandpa Time" !

Grandma Updike spoiled all of her grandkids with matching Christmas outfits. Don't they look so good?? I love this picture! Although trying to get 3 toddlers and an infant to cooperate during a photo shoot was pure chaos. Poor little baby Grant was so brave to be left alone for a few seconds with these kiddos!

Playing at the park

Guess what we are getting Lily for Christmas? She LOVED this chair. Don't you just love how she is lounging? Thanks Grandpa Updike for letting her watch her Mickey Mouse episodes while "chillin" in her new favorite chair.

Grandma definitely knows the way to her grandkids' heart. Lily LOVED playing stickers with her!

Another absolute favorite was Grandpa and Grandma's kiddie slide! No matter what we were doing, Lily would always keep asking to play on the slide.

Airplane fun with Grandpa. Grandpa would fly the plane, then yell "ready, set, go," and all of the grandkids would run after it. In fact, since we have come back to Utah, Lily keeps saying, "ready, set, go!"

Christmas came a bit early . . . all of the grandkids received pajamas and a Christmas outfit from Grandpa and Grandma! (As a side note, we found out the day before we went to Oklahoma that we were having a boy. So we made this shirt for Lily. She wore it on the day we got to Oklahoma to make the big announcement to the family that it is going to be a boy.)

Can you tell how much Lily loved playing with the bracelets? It was a big hit! She had no problem "sharing" them with grandpa either.

All in all, we had so much fun in Oklahoma. It was really interesting because, much to our surprise, Lily took some really good naps while we were there. I think she was just worn out every day from having so much fun with her cousins and grandparents. We sure love you all and had a blast!
