The Updike's

 We can't believe that our Lily girl is 4 1/2 years old now!  We sure love our independent and fun-loving little lady! So so so so excited for preschool to start soon. She loves meeting people!  She will say "Hi" to everyone and will be everyone's friend instantly! Loves her Sunbeam class. (Particularly her sweet teachers - The Condie's) Stubborn and sometimes displays an independent attitude.  It has been interesting to watch a 4 yr old try to express herself when she is not quite sure how to.  (We are working on that). Very protective of her brothers. Loves to write and draw pictures.  She is trying to teach herself how to read.  She will ask "what does the letters TLR spell?" Loves to ride her bike and play in the front yard. (Not so much the back yard). She loves to tease and make us laugh. She has the most fun imagination! Lily loves to pretend that this frog towel is her long "tangled" hair.  She even went to bed and...

 Oh, how we love our Boston Boy!!  Our little almost 2 1/2 year old is just a ball of energy!   Loves to watch Team Umizoomi - all of the time! Loves to watch Golf (and even has a mean golf swing), Baseball, Hockey.  And he wants to grow bigger so he can play basketball. (someone will have to tell him someday that Garrett is only 5'8'  - - I don't think Boston will get much taller). Completely potty trained.  Loves to cry and whine. He says the funniest things: "Are you serious?" "That's crazy!" "What was I thinking?" "Dad, come chill with me?" He is the ULTIMATE bedtime staller!  It truly takes him about an hour to finally go to sleep.  He will go to the bathroom 5 times (and he seriously pees every single time . . . wow!), beg to sleep with mom and dad, ask for another song or story.  Yikes!  Our sweet baby Crew is growing up so fast!   I can't believe that he will be 5 months soon.  We just love him so very much!  He is just so good natured, hardly cries and is so easy going.  He just recently started laughing a lot more.   We just fed him his first spoonfuls of oatmeal cereal. (He did okay . . . totally not sure if he likes it though). He has to be easy going because he has 2 ACTIVE siblings that keep his parents on their toes.  He loves jumping up and down in his bouncy swing. He LOVES bath time!  Loves tummy time. Very observant.  Loves to watch everything that is going on around him. We are still struggling with our nightly sleeping schedule.  He wakes up at least 3 times a night still. I walked in his room to check on him and I saw his cute little hand sticking out of the crib.
