The Updike's

 Garrett's cousin, Amber, was just married this past week as well.  The kids absolutely loved her reception.  Her husband proposed to her at the "Up House," thus their reception theme included lots of balloons.  The kids went especially nuts when they were able to jump right into a huge pile of balloons.  It was fun to have a bunch of family members stay at our house for a few days.  I love this picture of Lily and Great Grandma Lovett. 2 little beggars!  Lily and Boston totally surrounded Grandpa Updike trying to eat all of his goods. Grandpa was a champ to share! Grandpa Updike loves to play little games on his phone with the kids. Aunt Debbie was so sweet to read Boston a story.  He just climbed right up on her lap when she offered to read to him.  The kid loves his books!

 We had a special visit from Grandpa Updike this past week.  Unfortunately, he had to come to Utah to attend a funeral, but we were happy that he was able to spend a couple of days with us.  One of the activities that Grandpa Updike likes to do with his grand kids is build the little kid projects that Home Depot and Lowe's provide.  They are just simple little building projects.  He built a car and a magic box with them.  Needless to say . . . they were in seventh heaven.    "I can hammer so good because I am a girl!"  (Glad to know that Lily has girl power!) Boston did not want to be left out . . . we had to convince him that the ice tool was as good as a hammer. These 2 pictures crack me up.  She loved this car so much she had to take a nap with it.  I love how it is right there nestled into her face.  

As requested . . . Lily singing her most favorite song EVER . . . "Drive By" - by Train.   Not a day goes by that she doesn't ask me to pull up the Youtube video on this song.  Even when we are driving in the car she requests that we check every station to see if it is on.  Enjoy!!

 Lily and Boston were invited a friend's Super Hero birthday party.  I cannot get over how cute this party was.  Lily and Boston had the biggest grins on their faces the whole time.  The birthday party was held at gymnastics gym.  A gymnastics trainer led the kids on a "super hero training course."  Who would have thought that a 1year-old and a 3 year-old would love miniature golfing so much??!!  They were in seventh heaven.  Garrett tried to teach Lily how to put-put the correct way - - but she opted to do her own thing instead.  It was a bit chaotic, but pure fun.
