Lily - 2 1/2 years old

Image
Miss Lily Pie! Sweet, stubborn, loving, demanding, kind, attitude . . . a typical 2 1/2 year old! Lily, along with Boston, is truly the light in our lives! She is such a smart little girl! She continues to amaze us every day with her knowledge of language. She is also so witty!! I just need to keep a pencil and paper with me so that I can write down all of the funny things that she says. Such an imagination!! Two cute stories: The other day I asked her to go to her room and get her big girls underwear. I was downstairs feeding Boston and she comes running into the kitchen naked and says, "Oh my gosh, Oh my gosh Mom!! My room is dark!" I was trying to soothe Lily one night when she had a bad cold. I had just given her medicine and she was being whiny and just feeling lousy. As I was rubbing her back she lifts her head off of the pillow and says, "The doctor says that I have to eat a cookie to feel better!" What a crack up!! Miss Attitude at her finest! (...

Boston - 8 Months

My goodness . . . this baby boy is growing up way too fast! 8 1\2 months old already! Though he is not a "giant"I always think of him as my "Gentle Giant." He is truly just a happy and content baby who just goes with the flow of everything. The kid very rarely cries during the day unless he is super tired or being annoyed by his big sister. Nights on the other hand are a different story. A whole new Boston emerges and he screams like he is dying during the night because he either wants to nurse or just because he doesn't want to go to bed. The minute mom or dad picks him up he is all smiles. (lil stinker!) Obviously, weaning from nighttime feedings are not going so well! At 6 1/2 months he started crawling. He did the army crawl for a few days and then just took off. This kid can get around fast! His new venture: climbing up on EVERYTHING! I seriously can't leave a room for one minute for fear he will climb on something he shouldn't. One da...

Lily: "Hurry and eat your popsicle before it melts, Boston." I love her cute imagination! Big Stuff! It is so fun when they start playing together! Poor boy . . . his sister is already dressing him up! This little boy has struggled in the solid food department. I finally just poured some food on his tray and he loved putting his hands in it and eating it off his fingers. Whatever works, right? Snuggled in the pillows Notice her sad face? A meltdown occured when I mentioned that she might want to keep her Minnie Mouse ears inside the car while we go into the grocery store. Not going to happen! Despite her stubborness, I sure love this girl! I just cannot get enough of this cute face!! Love this boy! Where's Boston? Playing in a mass of toys in Lily's closet. Gavin and Lily love story time with Grandma Crossley Poor Joslyn! Running away from all of her crazy boy cousins! Boston's first horsey ride! Dress up and story time with Aunt Laura and Gavin

A Day of Thanks

I love Thanksgiving! Of course I love good food - but even more than that I always look forward to spending time with family! I have certainly been blessed with such a fantastic family . . . both my family and Garrett's family!! What a lucky girl I am! Happy Thanksgiving!! This year we celebrated Thanksgiving with my side of the family. It was a little different this year because Grant is gone on his mission and also Grandma Crossley and Todd's family celebrated Thanksgiving with Amy's family. We certainly missed them! All in all though, it was a happy and fun day!! The Great Hosts of the Day - Dad and Mom (So much for a family picture . . . Lily was too busy playing with cousins to stop for a picture) My sister-in-law Ashley posted this on Facebook the day before Thanksgiving. It is hilarious . . . "One year ago I watched the famous "Crossley Thanksgiving Basketball" game. Jed was wearing his jr. high track suit with church shoes, Sam was crying ...

Aunt Emily came into town with her two cute boys, Tyler and Mikey. The kids played so well together. Thanks for making the trip out here . . . we enjoyed having your sweet family here. (Poor Emily ended up having to deal with a kidney stone . . . I felt so bad for her! What a trooper!) Lily and Tyler enjoyed carving pumpkins with Garrett. Boston dressed up in his "Green Bay Packer" onsie for the Halloween party at playgroup. Our sweet neighbor, Donna, put together the cutest Halloween party for a bunch of the neighborhood kids. Lily and Tyler had a blast hitting a pinata, did a cake walk, face painting . . . etc. On Halloween day, we went to Aunt Shawnee's work at the car lot and did some Trick or Treating with some of the local businesses in the parking lot.
